We are an active, keen and friendly operatic society, established over 50 years ago, who currently meet at Brownhills Community Centre and perform at the Forest Art Centre, Walsall.
As well as our main production, which is usually in either February or March, we perform a number of concerts throughout the year . Although our repertoire is mainly focused on the works of W.S. Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan we perform works by other composers and librettists.
A big thank you to all who came to see our main production of “The Sorcerer” in February 2020. The show was a great success and we hope that all who came enjoyed it. Due to the Pandemic, we were unable to do any shows in 2021, and this year we have moved to April for our show, but still at the same place,
Our next annual main production will be ‘Patience Meets the Home Guard’, on 1st & 2nd April 2022 . 3 performance to choose from 7.30pm evening and 2.30pm Saturday Matinee. Our society’s aim is for everyone to have fun, make new friends whilst creating the best quality production we can.
If you would like to get involved, either on stage or off, please contact us as new members are always warmly welcomed (especially down the pub following rehearsals). We celebrated our 50th year as a musical society in 2013, ad are still going strong, we welcome and encourage young and old whatever your age.
